many of the evdo subscribers are unsatisfied with bsnl service. so here is a trick to unlock your bsnl evdo zte ac8700 modem. the trick is tested and is hundred percent working. all you need is just 10 minutes to unlock bsnl evdo zte ac8700 modem. you will need to download some softwares for unlocking bsnl evdo zte ac8700 modem. after unlocking you can use any cdma sim on your zte ac8700. like mts,tata indicom,reliance cdma etc. you can switch to new plans. and you can unlock the modem if you have network problem and want to try a new provider.as this is tested only on ac8700 this trick may work on other cdma modems also
step by step guide to unlock bsnl evdo zte ac8700 modem
- the bsnl evdo modem is configured as non ruim. it also has the capability to work as ruim. so you just need to enable the ruim feature in your modem. (ruim=removable user identity module)
- first of all you have to download the cdma workshop software
download cdma workshop cracked version free from here
- you must disable your antivirus while trying to unlock bsnl evdo zte ac8700 because the cdma workshop software here will be considered as a virus by most of the antivirus softwares, dont worry this is not a virus infected file if you have doubt you can scan your pc after unlocking your bsnl evdo zte ac8700, i assure there will be no problem.
- after disabling antivirus run the cdma workshop
- and in the common port drop down list select the common port of your bsnl evdo zte ac8700
- and click on connect, wait for the ac8700 to connect
- after the bsnl evdo zte ac8700 modem is connected select the security tab and select spc. input 000000 in the box click spc and click send
- it will show a message as spc accepted
- now select the “other” tab and in the ruim select ruim only and click on the send button. this makes your non ruim bsnl evdo zte ac8700 to ruim
- now you have successfully unlocked your bsnl evdo zte ac8700 modem free of cost
now you can delete the cdma workshop and enable your antivirus. and insert any cdma sim into your bsnl evdo zte ac8700 and change the apn settings and connect to internet

may be you have lost the driver software. try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers again. to make sure try using the modem on a different pc.

can you please try redoing the process again. to be frank im unaware of such problems. coz i never faced that problem unlocking ac8700 evdo. if i find a solution i will definitely let you know. try changing to non ruim only and try if its working. and if its working change it again to non ruim. hope it works. changing to non ruim converts the modem to the original stage.

it depends on your circle. try checking their websites. if your area is cdma 1x you will get speed upto 144 kbps. if its cdma 3g x you will get the same speed as bsnl. you better check their site

spped is 3.2 mbps. varies according to your plan. only cdma works on this model. you can use the bsnl software with this modem by changing apn settings. if you are unable to change apn download zte dashboard and use with it

Brother thank you very much.. it worked…. to all who are reading this post.. when we connect then by default COM port 1 is the com port we are having but it is not the actual one used by the ZTE terminal.. so just go on trying rest of the ports one by one and the one you get connected is the right one and not the com port one even if it says com port one connected successfully.. to check this remove your ZTE terminal and then connect com port 1.. u will get connected.. so that is not the right port.. thanks brother…. thank you very much….

try repeating the unlocking procedure again. if it hets unlocked propely you can use bsnl sim in it. you will be saved. good luck

it may not be the problem of service pack 3. may be you should try selecting the com port again. and also remember to exit the dashboard software while using cdma workshop. two applications cant acess the modem at same time. or if you fail at all procedures try doing it from another pc

docomo is gsm. and ac 8700 is cdma. so docomo wont work in ac 8700. try tata indicom,reliance cdma, mts, bsnl cdma etc in it. only cdma sims work in zte ac 8700

suppose my ip range is 116.454.125.250
The ip range will be 116.454.1.1to 116.454.255.255
i want to change the range of this ip is it possible? not the one i want but it should change the ip range it can happen?
im not sure about this. but if you want to change your ip to access some website you can use proxy site. it will show different ip for you

whats point in using bsnl sim in it? yes you can use bsnl sim. but make sure that cdma sim is available. and check what their tariff etc are. and also the speed may not be the same in cdma and cdma 1x.
no mate its not for acessing website its for private trackers where my ip is banned. so i want a new ip to again enter into that tracker… can you research about it and can you tell me its sure that we cannont able to change ips with the software i think we can but i dont know how :/
you can do that using proxy websites.
search google for proxy website
go to proxy website and enter the adress inside the proxy sites adress box
can you check this on your evdo ? if you got results tell me so that i will do
private trackers ban proxy within few minutes no use of proxy . They have sripts which detect proxies so proxy never works for any private tracker :/

try different ports. and keep changing until you succeed. if you are connected with the right port you ll be able to send the spc code correctly

it works on cdma modems alone. and the spc code may not be the same. try your luck. and please tell us your experience.

I unlocked my ZTE AC8700 800M EV-DO modem which I purchased from BSNL with the procedure you stated above. But when I insert a RUIM, it doesn’t detect the card. It shows full EV-DO network strength signal but the RUIM icon is crossed. Please help.

yes follow the procedure explained by admin u can unlock the modem and use with other operators .

just to let you know few things that may be of help to you…..
first after you are done with the unlocking you can start using the bsnl evdo software provided to you in the cd or downloaded from any site..
the thing to remember is there is no need to change any apn for it…………….
just change the number from *777# to *99# and the username from card to the phone number of the cdma sim card you are using after unlocking and the password the same phone number……………..
e,g suppose my phone number is 9000000000 so in the setting change my username to 9000000000 and my password to 9000000000 and then press connect…………
you will get connected without any apn……………….
i tried it with reliance only ………………..
you may check it with the rest of the cdma sim…………………

it depends on new connection you are using. most cdma like mts and tat photon requires username and password

My BSNL EVDO (ZTE – AC8700) has got disconnected more than a year ago. I tried to unlock the device.
COM3 – Successfully Connected. But when I enter 000000 and click Spc & Send, it is showing “Failed: Phone Does not Answer”. I tried 5 times, but showing the same.
Is this happening due to my EVDO has got disconnected from BSNL long ago? Or can you guess what would be the issue.
please note that ac 8700 connects to cdma workshop through two different ports. but spc can be send through one of it only. so you must connect throug the right port number. try changing the port number gain and again until you can get spc sent successfully. hope that helps

Secondly its connected to COM7, even though its failed. Then i tried from down which started from COM25. When it got connected to COM21, its been done successfully unlocked when i send SPC.

i have unlocked the tata photon+ olive vme101 and tried to use BSNL RUIM in the device. with this software I have read the RUIM card also and I found everything OK. But I am not able to connect to the internet using the tata photon GUI. I tried to make a dial up connection using the modem in windows 7 64b ,but it’s not able to find the MODEM…plz help me out…

are you sure that you inserted cdma sim itself. if yes then try the unlock procedure again. change to ruim disable. and then again change ruim if availabel. hope it helps
dear admin i follwed the entrie procedure explained by u , bsnl evdo device was successfully unlocked when i tried to close the software it asked to save the settings , i saved and now i reconnect the device to my pc , there is no signal and even the ruim slot was not unlocked as the same strike off symbol over the ruim symbol in zte connect application still appearing as it was before .

Wonderful Man, I followed as you said, and its working fine. First I unlocked the phone by port 11 which worked. Then bought cdma new sim. Then activated the sim. Created a new dial up connection. Keyed user name and password as the phone no without adding 0. Then dialled using *99# . It got connected. I replied this forum using the device. Thanks thanks a lot.

if you are connecting through reliance use the reliance dashboard. and indicom dashboard for indicom etc. mts dashboard wont connect to other service
