huawei modem unlock for those who dont know where to enter the code
where to input unlock code?
some huawei locked models don’t prompt for code even when you insert an unauthorized Sim into it. so here is an easier way to unlock it and that too free. dear friends after my first post on unlocking some guys using huawei e 173 u-1 from airtel incurred this problem. so here it is. how to do it in the simplest way.
download the advance unlocking software from here
- Password for rar file is ‘freetrics’
- install it
- run the software
- select modem manufacturer
- select modem model or leave it blank if you are unsure of the model
- click on the search button and wait for few seconds(takes time)
- the modem unlocker software detects the modem and the ports
- now on the right side select unlocking
- and mark the first bullet
- and click on do job
- you are done.
you can refer to the screen shot provided here.
after pressing search button on the huawei unlocker you should wait for few seconds until the unlocker responds

then first select the top radio button and then press on the do job button
- huawei modem unlock
there is no easier way to unlock any modem or phones easier than this
the modem unlocker software provided here supports a number of manufacturers and models. the list of models are provided within the downloaded zip file

Firmware updater – downloaded but not working – error 3 comes up
DC Unlocker – it either says “card not found” or “modem not found”
And when I enter another working data card into the modem – the software that came with the modem (Ge Org Austria) asks for PIN – unlock code and flash code only blocked my PIN on my new card, so I needed PUK to unlock it
Any ideas, thoughts etc……

I have Reliance Netconnect+ USB connection (Model is Huawei). Since the speed in broadband plus mode is not upto mark and Relaince people will take 3 months time to correct it hence I want to unlock my modem so as to use it with other available services providers (Tata photon+ / MTS Blaze etc). There is a question you are avoiding Mr. Admin. What about the case where when one attempts to update the firmware all they get is a message “Firmware update failed”? Does the battery level have anything to do with that?
no. battery backup has to be high coz if power fails while updating it can burn up your modem. so its just precaution. some version of modems have customized firmware which cannot be updated. irt has to be downgraded. i didnt avoid any questions purposefully if you feel so i am sorry friend, i will be more aware in future. this updates works for many and doesnt work for some. one can know only after trying it.

i have purchased Aircel E1750c 3G USB dongle. By mistake i have cliked its update software option and now software in dongle updated but i dunt like the updated version.i have a copy of old software as well.now how i can replace the new software with old software in dongle, as theres no option to delete files in cd drive of dongle.

sir i tried to unlock my Huawei E173 modem..using firmware e73 updater,,on setup it searches for data card and end up leaving error post, that Data card cant be found…not well inserted or …administrator authoriziation,,,i tried my best but all in vain.. may u please help me fix this
