In a previous post i have given steps to unlock huawei modems. Here i am giving you the software called huawei mobile partner. Use it with your unlocked modem. You can get rid of the customized provider dashboard. This huawei mobile partner gives you additional freedom to make calls from your modem. Usually dashboard supplied along with the locked modem by providers like docomo, airtel, aircel, idea,bsnl etc doesn’t have call functionality.Using this mobile partner from huawei you can use all the features of the modem. It is an application software similar to that of nokia pc suite. huawei mobile partner provided here can be used along with any huawei modem.

try removing and uninstalling all drivers and earlier applications related to your huawei modem. then install mobile partner and the update the firmware.
if it still doesnt work try doing the update from another pc

Is it possible by any way to do anything like controlling our sim card after unlocking the modem by someone else…cos i am losing my balance amount each time i use the unlocked modem with idea huawei EG 162G. I lost my balance of Rs. 75 to just 0 in my mobile and it even got a minus balance of Rs. -62 after using as low as 20 mb for one day with vodafone gprs one day pack where we can use up to 40 mb that particular day. It happened twice.
no no one else can use or access your sim. the problem might be with your apn. check what apn you are using
There are two options with APN, dynamic and static and it was put as static on the idea software so i put it as static…..another one colum is there like APN: where internet is typed..so i typed internet there..both the softwares are there the old idea software which is almost like the mobile connect software itself…should i make any other changes in the profile..right now i am using idea and vodafone on this…pls help me sort out this problem….such a great tip anyway and such a quick reply too gr8…thanks..

Hi i’m using Huawei device with aircel simcard, when i set the APN and the things which u gave… i couldn’t connect… if i click the connect button in mobile partner page – it is throwing an error stating ” the device is unreachable or disconnected”. could u plz give me tip.

the current cahrges for data probably 1kb/10paise………. means 1MB data cost around 10 Rs…..so dr be carefull while surfing….also do not depend on data usage shown in MOBILE PARTNER or whatelse other application u r using as it only shows approximate current ………..ther may be some hidden window updating process or some applications running in background without your knowledge and consuming ur data.
yes uninstall the idea software. and make different profile for different providers. to get vodafone apn settings call the customer care. im not sure about vodafone apn settings

have you changed the apn settings. i never heard of such error. and i didnt have any problems in unlocking. let me check about this. i will personally email you the solution and also put it in the comments. please give me some time

is it accepting the network. i mean is that showing the network. please uninstall all softwares that came with your modem. and install mobile partner only and try again friend. it worked for me. some providers lock using their mobile partner so unisntall it fully. if it still doesnt work please try this steps
put your aircel sim in mobile and try to connect. if it connects properly then try using the modem on another pc if possible. so we can know where the real problem is. im searching for solutions. i saw your yesterdays comment also. im really trying on it. dont worry we will do it. problem is i have been little busy

i have no idea why you cant change apn setting. bade im still trying to get the firmware release. but cant find it, hope it will be released soon. i have unlocked around 45 e 1732 until now. but none of them had this problem. i cant really understand what the real problem is. did you try repeating the unlocking process? im so sad that i couldnt help you and i caused too much pf trouble to you. but this is a rare case. as i said i never had a problem. i promise ill solve your problem as early as possible

try the upgrade dashboard please. it updates the dashboard in the usb modem also. this will help you make new apn. are you able to make new apn or not?

I am not able to make video calls with huawei e173. Modem specifications shows that it supports video call.
In mobile partner there is a option for video call but its not highlighted.
But I am able to make video calls by using the same mtnl sim with my nokia mobile.

I have a unlock e1732. It is working fine with my bsnl sim card. but now I have get a information or trick, that was, ” a free 3g trick for airtel users iif you have huawei modems you can unlock it and use these trick on it. recharge airtel 2g pack and then insert huwaei modem and go to tools>option>network> network type>wcdma only>apply>registration mode> manual>refresh>and wait few when show many provider then select idea 3g and click register i,m sure registration successfully click ok. then go to tools>profile management>new>apn is airtelgprs.com click ok . go connection click connect and enjoy .”

try switching from wcdma to gsm only. to change this go to the ntwork settings
how can I copy the mobile partner software into the memory containing idea software in my huawei e1732 modem.Actually I tried to replace it by simple copying but it was given the information that the idea components were of read only type and thus restricting me from copying the mobile partner into that memory.
to install the new mobile partner on your modem you can simply download the usb version of mobile partner and run the dashboard updater. you can read more on it here

Sir, I am using Huawei K4505 unlocked vodofone modem. In the mobile partner there is option for GPS, will it work? What else software I have to load for that? I am getting incoming call, but my outgoing call fails. Otherwise I am satisfied with data download & SMS.
for using gps the modem must have a inbuilt gps

firmware is one which is permanently stored inside the modem. software used to process data transmit data in the modem. dshboard is the software that we install on the pc to control the modem, like making connection,checking speed etc

hii admin my huwai model no.is e122 ,im not able to use 3g with dis dongle but 2g works fine.when i connect my 3g sim in dis it doesnt take any network at all and so doesnt work ,so im nt able 2 use 3g in dis dongle.. pls help nd do reply soon…thanku
here are some possibilities
1. you dont have 3g coverage in your area. you can check if this is the problem by taking to your modem to somewhere else
2. your settings isnt configured well. you have to select utms mode in the netwrok settings. it may have other names like wcdma etc. try changing that settings in network setting. better you choose automatic option if available.

may or may not. ask your provider if they charge anything extra for data roaming. which model modem are you using. i reccomend you unlock your modem and use some indian sim in it.

Bc I used a different subscriber sim card, i got a window saying “enter unlock code” after 10times trial. a message appear “sim card blocked permanently, contact customer service”. uninstall all softwares related to the modem on your pc. install mobile partner again. plug in modem. and wait for the pc to detect the modem automatically. after that connect with mobile partner. thats it. hopw it solves the problem

have you checked the network setting and the apn. try tweaking the network preference between wcdma only and gsm only modes

mobile partrner doesn’t detect the the device alone it””requires some serious drivers…..so reprogram your device with cracked version of idea or airtel software go to some techies at some bazaar or mobile repair shops….max (150 rs)….it will detect the sdevice and will show network…..then install mobile partner…it will do well or use the airtel or idea software which you have to add new apnsssssss
