- open the rar file and run the application (password for rar file is ‘freetrics’
- check the accept terms and condition radio button and click next
- wizard will now start to search the connected huawei e1732 modem
- click next to start updating
- at a point the updater asks for a password, here is the steps to generate the password for your huawei e 1732

- start application
- select the huawei tab in the top row
- enter iemi number of your huawei e 1732
- click generate to generate password for your huawei e1732 modem

acha bhai ye to (huawei e1732 modem firmware update ) maine download kar liya. lekin jab main sola mein imei no. feed karne ke baad calculate karne baad jab main relock ko click karke do job par click karta hu to status bar par msg display hota hai ki “Device is yet not connected” jabki device to connect hoti hai. aur agar main huawei e1732 modem firmware update use karta hu to kya muje sola ki need hai ya nahi.

then unlock by sola gsm
it works
but this is not a permanent unlocking method. each time you change the sim you have to unlock again.
idea modems are unlocked this way and i have done it with around 50 modems’
hope i answered all the queries.
ill try to get another firmware updater for e 1732 soon. if any of you have a working updater please send it to me also

I have done lots of reaserch on this bloody Modem E1732 (E1732Du-1).
Hre are the real facts..
1. Modem is already unlocked.
2.Unlocking Attempts option is Erased or disabled.(becouse if this feature will open then every one will come to know that modem is already unlocked.)
Ab aaplog Bologe ki then koi dusri sim work kiun nahi karti.
Toh reason hai……
3.Modem Dashboard is unlocked.(which is when upgrading again locked becouse customised firmware has the command to keep the dasboard locked.
4. the biggest reason y we can not use any other sim-card,
as we put another simcard and inserting the modem it cheaks wether the simcard inserted is correct/incorrect, if the dashboard find it wrong then it close the Ui_PORT(Modem dialing PORT).
Isiliyeh Unlock hone k baad bhi Connect nahi ho paati hai.
PORT HE KHULI NAHI RAHEGI TOH CONNECTION KAHAN SE KAROGE)?????
And Last…

Download Sola GSM Calc from 1st page
Insert your Huawei E-1732 and let the drivers to be installed.
Select Huawei Unlocker Tab enter your IMEI number Get the unlock code for the device.
Now select the RELOCK option and click the Do Job button.
Now select RESET LCK option and click the Do Job button.
Now your modem is unlocked so enjoy it with other networks and your favourite plans
I have done all the tricks you have told, but it is not unlocking if possible give me your number please

but when i uninstall idea netsetter software it doesn’t showing the installation cd rom.

actually as your article and comments i updated both firmware and dashboard now my device is not showing installation cd rom.
if it is not showing CD rom then via sola gsm calc click on Enable CD and it will show failed to enable virtual cd
then click on reset modem then your CD rom will be shown(replug device)
i installed the update it was a success but now idea netsetter is not recognising it

permanent unlock doesnt happen on every modem, some modems unlock permanently some doesnt, depends on your luck. use sola gsm calc it is the safest method

many people are having problem while connecting to internet with other sim cards
now you can connect by any sim card with default IDEA net Setter Dashboard using these steps
If your Modem is detecting sim cards and you are getting errors then do this
for XP
1 Control Panel -> Phone and Modem (found directly in control panel or in Printers and other hardware ) –> modem tab –> huawei mobile connect 3g modem (which is present on COM ) –> –> properties advance –> in extra initializing command use given commands and click OK
for windows 7
start menu -. type phone and modem — click on it—>modems –>huawei mobile connect 3g modem–properties–>change settings–>advance–>extra initialization command–>use given command
and if it ask for Country and area code then Country – India and Area Code – 91 and leave other blank

for unlocking e1732 blindly follow the trick which have been in the link to unlock permanently then you will be able to do it or else it be failed because i have used it and it is doing wonder for me . so you don’t have to worry just follow the link and if it does not help then go india broad band forum download the video and then you can download the video for unlocking the modem

Hi.I’m from Kenya.I use an Airtel Huawei E153-u2 modem.I have tried updating the firmware but it gives a failure message.The dashboard update works fine.Used a sola gsm calculator,and was able to temporarily unlock and even updated the APN profile for the other providers namely Safaricom,Orange and YU.Am unable to connect to the internet as it gives connection terminated message each time.I’m unable to get the signal bar and logo of all the other providers.Please help what could be the problem and does a permanent unlock exist.You can send me a reply to my email:mahabacom@yahoo.com.Thanks.

Please help me sir, I had tried to unlock idea net setter e-1732 with huawei e1732 modem firmware update, but at time of giving password I missed and left it blank!!! It was also tried again to unlock with CDMA Workshop 2.7 but It doesn’t unlocked. I had tried Sola GSM Calc also but noting is working. what should i do? I have my unlocked e1732. But modem inside contains old drivers (no signed driver for win 7) and dashboard (no apn settings of various ISPs). I have latest dashboard 16.001.06.01.500 FaKiro and latest drivers which i carry separately in pen drive for use in different PC/laptop. How to update latest driver & dashboard held with me into my modem e7132.

Go to network setting and change network preference to “wcdma only”, if you have this wcdma network then only you can access in 3g speed

I have unlocked my Idea Net Setter using downgrader method, And I can see that my device is E173 now, But in the market now unlocked Idea Net Setters which shows E1732 are available, one more thing I noticed that they have installed mobile partner v. 16 (may be because Mob.Part. v.16 have some more feature). I wan’t to know—
1. Is there any new way to unlock such that after unlocking it shows E1732.
2. Since I have Downgraded and unlocked my Idea Net Setter already, can I update it’s firmware and reunlock using this new method (if exist s, and I think it exists , because I looked two unlocked devices with E1732). AND last but imp.
3. Is there REALLY any benefit in E1732 compared to E173.
